The Challenge
Solution: Programme Phases

"Christian (from Co-Kreator) joined at a critical time of change for LOD and was a crucial member of the core team as we transformed the business from a process and technology perspective along with integrating 4 separate businesses that had come together through historic M&A activity.

In an 18 month period we drove a digital transformation agenda and moved LOD to a leading edge, future proofed enterprise scale technology stack brining in a raft of operating efficiencies and benefits.

The game of change is often hard, controversial and thankless, Christians wise skill base, adaptable approach, humour and general personality would be a great asset to any organisation looking to go on a similar journey.

Would whole heartedly recommend Christian, it was a pleasure working with him and LOD is not quite the same without him around."

Programme Phases
Outcome

Co-Kreator was selected to perform a review of the finance function to determine how ERP and digital could be applied to improve the overall efficiency of the function.

The engagement was 5 weeks and all performed remotely because of the COVID-19 situaiton. During the 5 weeks the following deliverables were completed.

1) Ramp Up
The project team of 4 consultants was engaged by the Client and the engagement phases agreed.

2) AS IS analysis
The current operating model and finance business processes / systems and data models were analysed to form a view of the current capabilties of the function. The entire finance function was documented and supported by data flow diagrams (DFDs) to base the TO BE design on as much data as possible.

3) TO BE design
The recommendation for the TO BE design of the enterprise was to utilise the D365 Finance solution to form the core of the redesigned finance function, supplemented by 1 ISV. The redesigned finance function on D365 was enabled by the following modules of the D365 Finance system:
-General Ledger
-Vat&Tax
-Sales Ledger (AR)
-Cash & Bank incl. Payment Files
-Purchase Ledger (AP)
-Procurement
-Project Management & Accounting
-Budgeting
-Fixed Assets
-ISV: Invoice creation for 'free text' and 'project' invoices

4)  Design of Business Transformation Roadmap
The design of the D365 implementation and transformation concerning the finance function was completed in close collaboration with the key stakeholders (incl. CFO and COO). The initiative was supported by a very attractive business case outlining key benefits to the finance team in terms of efficiency gains and cost base of the delivery.
